Satan wants us to focus on the physical
things, on the outward things, in things you can see, rather
than focus on the doctrinal realites that God has in his
word.
We are to walk by faith, but satan
wants us to walk by sight and not by faith.
Anytime we go into a mode of
operation, whether in the ministry or in our practical
life,
whereby we are evaluating things by
sight rather than by faith, we will be doing what adversary
wants us to do.
Good Example
2 Corinthians 4: 16, 17--Read
We faint not--- For God's glory, we
are not going to quit. We are going to press on. We are not
going to stop because of circumstances around us.
We are looking beyond this temporary
time here. We are living with eternity in view.
We may go through traumas and stresses
and difficulties. But those things are not the issue.
Please don't be perplexed and disturbed and destroyed by
these things, because they are not reality.
Our flesh (outward man) will perish. If
our own body just dries up and perishes, the inward man (
the real me) keeps going through out eternity.
That is just sight, but we walk by
faith. Let us focus on the doctrinal reality of what God has
told us. Read 2 Corinthians 5:1
Remember trouble is going to come in
our lfe because we are a part of the fallen creation, which
means we are going to have trouble. And if God Almighty
leaves us here to serve, and allows us to grow old,
our bodies will begin to hurt and wear out.
Inspite of all of that, we know why it
is happening. We know God is not punishing us, rather
it is a natural course of a fallen creation to begin to wear
out. Paul says "We don't look at that and focus on
that . We look at what is real and what is lasting, and
eternal. We look not at the things that are seen. They
don't throw us off, they are not the issue with the
Saints of God. Read again 2 Corinthians 4:17.
